I would like to talk with you about my country, Brazil. You guyshave probablyheardofourcarnival, oursoccer, our women andthatwild animalsroam freely onthe streets. Also, ifyoucometoBrazilsomeday, pleasedo notfeed theanimals, especiallythe monkeys. But what do you know about Brazilian music? Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil? Good, but do you know Secos & Molhados?
Any semelhance with Kiss is just a coincidence
The band wasformedin1972, with a mix ofpsychedelicpop,folkandglamrock(withstrongriffs,strongmake-upandbizarreoutfits).Theyreleasedonlytwoalbumsbefore theygotdisbanded (in 1974), but it was enough to have great influence on brazilian music until today. Well, no more talk, you've got to hear them.
I have a cousin who stays in Brasilia. I have never seen him, he is not close to my family. However, I have a friend in Santiago and maybe one time I will go over for the Libertadores with some cash and head to Brazil....nice band.
this is silly man, in a good way :)
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty cool, quite like them. Brazil seems like a fascinating place, I'd love to get there one day.

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to move to Venezuela, because it's close enough to Brazil, but a hell of a lot cheaper to live there...
